New York officials unveiled three new high-tech policing devices this Tuesday. One of these new devices was a robotic policing dog which many said was “creepy”. The dog was leased in 2020 by former New York Mayor Bill De Blasio but it was cut short due to critics saying the new device was “creepy” and “dystopian”. Digidog as people call it is planned to be deployed in risk situations like hostage scenarios.
