Exchange Year in the U.S: Last Article

Hello, I am Esengeldiev Erkin, and I was an exchange student here at El Diamante High School for 9 months.

Today, April 28th, 2023, is my last day being an American High School student, which is honestly insane for me to write.

Throughout this, I experienced many things I didn’t even imagine I would. I got so many good friends here, met lots of amazing teachers, and participated in many many activities on campus. I was an ASB student, a Green Club member, an SJA club member, Interact and Key club member. In October last year I went to volunteer to be a counselor at Scicon, in November I presented more than 20 presentations about my country, participated in the Culture Fair in February, and last month I organized my own project “Teacher Star Awards”.

I can’t express how grateful I am for all of this, I hope I made a good impression on everyone and made my stay here memorable.

I want to give special thanks to my teachers, counselors, and friends – without you, nothing above would have happened.

I will never forget anything and anyone, and will always treasure the memories I got in my second home – El Diamante.

Thank you,

Goodbye.

We will miss you, Erkin, and wish you nothing but the best – Carla Moore
