Memento is a 2000 American neo-noir psychological thriller film written and directed by Christopher Nolan, based on the short story “Memento Mori”. A man with short-term memory loss called anterograde amnesia attempts to track down his wife’s murderer. Memento starts at the end of the film and reverb, in order to emphasize Leonard’s condition. As the film progresses, more truths are revealed with twists and turns making you question reality when the end credits roll. Memento is one of those films that you could watch a hundred times and still spot new details. The scratches on Leonade’s face get stronger and stronger due to time going backward; it’s very great attention to detail by Nolan. Overall Memento is one of a kind and worth the watch when it comes to character development, plot, and amazing twist.
