This week I like to shine some light on some awesome filmmakers! This past week was the annual Slick Rock Film Festival, a film competition where schools submit films to different categories. This year El Diamante’s own Academy of Cinema and Television Arts submitted a number of films but two came out on top.
The first award went to a now two-time winning animator Sebastian Calvanese for his animation Down the Mountain. The second award went to Lauren Crawford, Leandra Calvanese, Sebastian Calvanese, Josslyn Caskey, Dulce Ibarra, Thomas Martinez, and Isabella Saenz, for their Music video to Never There by Cake. They also won first place in the music video category
