Death Grips Concert Experience

On May 17th, 2023, just two days ago, I traveled to Hollywood, Los Angeles to attend the Death Grips concert at the Hollywood Palladium and the concert was the best thing I have ever attended. It was such an amazing experience. Death Grips is an American experimental hip-hop group that consists of vocalist Stefan Burnett (better known as MC Ride), drummer Zach Hill, and keyboardist and producer Andy Morin. Seeing these three on stage together was one of the best things I have ever witnessed and just seeing how powerful this band was live on stage compared to their actual music was such an amazing moment.

The concert was genuinely amazing. It started at 8 o’clock but Death Grips themselves ended up showing up an hour late in that waiting time the people in the crowd and everyone that attended were actually really cool and fun to hang out with and talk to. The crowd was growing impatient by the minute so people started holding up their phones with shows playing like Regular Show or they were playing Geometry Dash. I even saw someone playing hypnotizing videos and everyone was yelling. It was such a good and fun experience. The experience got very intense when Death Grips actually came on and the first TWO songs they played, let me repeat the first TWO songs the crowd went wild and I ended up being trapped in the middle of a bunch of sweaty men punching their way through the crowd and I ended up somehow going from the front of the concert to the back of the stadium.

I am very grateful I went to this concert. They played so many of my favorite songs and I ended up getting a video for every single song they played just so I can cherish the memories of the concert. Overall this concert was everything I wanted it to be, the music, the effects, the people, everything about this concert was just perfect and I came out of that concert partially deaf and I lost my voice but it was worth it because I had been waiting for this concert since December. Seeing Death Grips live was such a fun and amazing experience and I hope I can see them perform again in the future.
