Graduating can be a scary topic for any senior. However, the reality is that everyone goes through this milestone, and there is so much to look forward to. It should be a celebration – of completing high school and all the hard work that has gotten you to this point. Many seniors fear the unknown because for the first time in our lives, we are making decisions after decisions that will impact our life specifically and we ultimately have to decide what we want for ourselves. There is way too much pressure on seniors to know exactly what they want to do or a direction they are interested in but the fact of the matter is that no one has anything figured out, even if it appears so on the outside. There are many uncertainties and expectations that seniors feel, and these transition nerves are completely normal. Graduation anxiety is very real, but it is important when you are feeling anxious to think about how far you have come, remember you aren’t alone, and have faith that you are ready to take on the world.
