This year was my first year here at El Diamante High School. When I arrived here I thought I wasn’t going to fit in and I just wasn’t going to like it here because of it being such a different atmosphere compared to my old school. As time went on I began getting closer to most of my teachers and I slowly began to meet new people. This year was very tough, not just because it was a new school but it was just overall tough. The first semester I decided to take Ap Psych which is a great class, a little challenging, but interesting. The second semester I decided to drop this class just because it was using all my time. By this I mean I never had time to study for any of my other classes and the only one that was very important was math, just because this is the only class I had to study for. The reason I’m writing about this is because any incoming juniors make wise choices. If you know you can handle it, go for it. Take AP psych. It’s a great class and Mr. Jolly is a great teacher as well! If I would have used my time wisely I would have been able to study for all my classes without having to drop anything but I didn’t. One of my favorite teachers who I got the closest with is Ms. Moore. I have her for three different classes. When Ms. Moore announced that she was retiring, many of her students got upset, including me. I only knew Ms. Moore for a year but she is such a great teacher. She cares for her students and does whatever she can to make them feel happy. I can go on and on about Ms. Moore even though many of the students don’t treat her the way she should be treated, she’s still there pushing them to finish their work on time. Ms.Moore, we wish you a happy retirement! We appreciate all of the work and efforts you’ve done and made as a teacher. Thank you so much for everything!
