El Diamante High School’s Chamber Choir is excited about a recently approved educational trip to New York City. The trip will be in the springtime for around six days with a full itinerary. The cost is estimated at around $2500 per student. Students will fundraise to pay for it. The group will have opportunities to further their musical education as well as enjoy cultural sightseeing. They are excited about this educational experience.

In an interview with Gunnar Roth, the choir’s Vice President declared, “I am stoked for New York with all of my friends. It’s going to be great!”. He speaks for all of the choir when he says this as they all seem very excited.

Mr. Witt, the choir teacher, has planned to fill the three days with great experiences and activities. He has planned a clinic with a Broadway performer. A clinic is when someone who is a professional critiques and helps make a group better. They also have a plan to visit the United Nations and participate in a tour.

The highlight of the trip will be performing a concert in the lobby of the United Nations. The Chamber Choir will also be going to see Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Other places they will be visiting include the Empire State Building, the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the Apollo Theater, and they will be seeing Broadway shows.
