Yesterday El Diamante played a thrilling game against Mount Whitney and they beat them with a commanding lead of 14-6. The first half of the game was close, but by the second half, EL D gained an edge. Through the second half, Mount Whitney fell apart and the El Diamante boys commanded the lead to a victory.
Attacker Zach Moreno states, “They got in their heads and we used that to our advantage to put the game away.”
Some notable players in the game who stepped up for the team were Connor Cooper and Adan Lozano. The two set players stepped up and both had two goals and a few assists to command a higher lead for the miners. Defense was a great factor for the Miners having a high amount of steals of 16.
Player Zach Moreno commented on why the team succeeded in the game, and his answer was, “Good execution”.
Now the Water Polo team is on a three-game win streak which is why you should come to their next game home against Golden West on October 10th. Go Miners!
