In their first game of the season, El Diamante’s Freshman Football team blew away the crowd against Tulare Union as they demolished them 40-0 on September 23rd.
As the season continues they are training to better themselves on the field and in academics. They are currently 3-2 for their record.
Coach Gomez says, “ Always keep your grades up before every game to be able to play.” Gomez is one of the freshman coaches for this season. He’s looking forward to his team improving their strengths and building to potentially varsity level. Coach Gomez, along with the other coaches is always keeping track of their grades for them to be able to play on the field.
Building their strength through weights and putting their academics first is their vision for success. As the team moves on with this season, they hope to have a great season and accomplish the goals they set for themselves. Their next game is next Thursday, October 12th against Mt. Whitney. Make sure to come and support the football team!
