Aimee Veldhuizen is an Ag advisor at El Diamante and is very involved in the school. She has been an advisor for 22 years and has been a positive influence on many students.
Veldhuizen recently got the privilege to travel to Indianapolis for the 96th National Convention Expo to receive an Honorary American FFA Degree. The Honorary American FFA Degree is the highest award bestowed upon an individual by the National FFA Organization. Each year the National FFA Organization recognizes individuals who have shown outstanding support in agricultural education. She was nominated by the San Joaquin regional supervisor. It serves as a recognition of special contributions to agriculture and agricultural education.
She worked hard for this and she was so excited when she was able to get the award.
Veldhuizen claims “It is an honor to receive this award and it was a great experience”. Veldhuizen traveled to Indianapolis with her husband and her two kids and enjoyed the time spent there. When asked what her favorite part was about the trip she said “Seeing all the different FFA jackets from across the nation.”
El Diamante is very proud of Mrs. Veldhuizen and all the work and effort she puts in for her students to be successful. She completely deserves this award and it is something we will never forget.
