This year Grad Night ticket sales happened on February 20th at 7 am. Many seniors were looking forward to it and got up very early to make sure they got a good place in line.

Grad Night is one of the most exciting trips seniors get to attend at the end of the year. An iconic destination for Grad Night for high school students is the famous amusement park – Disneyland. It is a great way to celebrate a graduation with all of your friends and allows students to reminisce about what Disney means to them as it was a part of most children’s childhood.

One Senior Genesis Loza says, “I woke up at 5 am and I started getting ready at 5:30.” About the timing of ticket sales she says, “I think the time for ticket sales was random, because it was on Tuesday morning, and it’s a little weird.”

An expectation for seniors was you must stand in line with your friends on the bus in order to sit with them. Some groups of friends got up early in order to stand in line but others cut with their friends.

Mia Munoz shares, “I didn’t end up getting up really early, but I went there anyway,”

About the process of ticket sales and her experience she says, “I thought it was fine, but some people didn’t like it when others cut. Everyone was going with their friends so it was expected.”

Students were anticipating the excitement that they were getting to go to Disneyland with their friends. Senior Makayla Fosberg, shared her excitement about going to Disney with her friends for the first time, “I’m really excited to go, I haven’t been to an amusement park with any of my friends before.”

When asked about what she thinks what Grad Nite ticket sales would be like she said [that] She assumed it would be busy, but as for expectations for the trip itself , “I think it’s going to be a little bit all over the place, because there are a lot of kids to keep track of and especially because it’s going to be not only our school, it’s going to be a lot of kids. I expect it to be a little hectic, but it will be fun!”

Many students are looking forward to Grad Nite and can’t wait for the trip on May 19th!
