Here at El Diamante, we offer a program called FFA. It is a variety of classes where students get to experience hands-on skills and build their leadership skills that will continue into their future paths as they decide to go to college and get career-ready. There are currently about 450 students in our Ag/FFA program.

Recently our Ag Pest team scored a big win in the state finals and are now state champions. Thanks to our hard-working Pest team FFA and amazing teachers we were able to bring home this big win.  Director of our FFA program Aimee Veldhuizen shares, “Congratulations to Jordan Walker, Cyler Hunter, Alex Palomino, and Aislinn Weiner for making El Diamante proud.”

Also 11 students were recognized for receiving their State FFA Degree.  A State FFA Degree is the highest degree a student can get in FFA while attending high school. Veldhuizen states, “I am beyond proud of the work, time, and effort every one of them have put in, they earned it. Great job El Diamante.”

Upcoming we have our Veterinary Science, Best Informed Greenhand, and our Marketing Teams competing May 3 and 4 at their State Final at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. We hope to hear that our teams place and make El Diamante proud as they continue to learn and grow.
