For those who couldn’t join the STRONG academy but are passionate about the Medical Field, good news, you can join the new Medical Explorers Club. Started by Moises Bravo, a student who is passionate about the medical field and wants to share that passion with students on campus, the club promises to give members direct experience and to provide a platform for them to further their knowledge in the medical field. Whether you’re profoundly interested in medicine or are starting to learn about it, this club is great for people who are new to medical science and long-time enthusiasts.
As the founder and president of the club, Moises Bravo shared his plans to further students’ knowledge with hands-on experience and “give them the opportunity to introduce people to the medical field.” To achieve this, he will plan field trips to Kaweah Delta and guest speakers such as doctors, nurses, and anesthesiologists to share with the club about their careers, experiences, and what to expect.
Advisor Mrs. Olsen shares that she is, “Excited to see what the club can do.” As an advisor, she is eager to organize a blood drive soon to encourage students on campus to have their blood drawn and support El D’s MedClub. She also hopes this club, “Inspires students to start looking into the medical field.”
The Medical Explorers Club is open to all students here at El Diamante, regardless of background knowledge. You can stop by Room 356 for more information.
