Should smoking be banned in public? Many people go around every day with asthma and that is something that they cannot get rid of. Also exposure to secondhand smoke from burning tobacco causes diseases and premature death among nonsmokers. From google it explains “While the exact degree of harm is debatable, a recent study published in the medical journal circulation reviewed found that banning smoking in public places can reduce heart attack hospitalizations by up to 36 percent over time, regardless of geographical location”. This tells viewers that it can be very dangerous to be around secondhand smoke so it must be banned.
