With Texas being the home of deadly thunderstorms, tornadoes, and hurricanes, local citizens are consistently anticipating when the next weather storm will hit and exactly how much damage it will cause. Typically, tornado season is common in the months of March through early June in Texas, however, these months may fluctuate depending on the season. In the last year alone there was roughly 140-150 tornadoes that hit Texas, bringing tragedies and devastation alongside them. On Monday, October 21, Dallas Texas was hit with yet another tornado that created over $2 Billion dollars in losses and tragedies. Although the tornado ruined dozens of businesses, homes, and city streets, the tornado did hospitalize three citizens according fire rescue spokesman Jason Evans. One family even reported that they took shelter in their home’s bathroom with their 8-month-old son as the twister swept the area. The city of Dallas is grateful that no strategies came out of the tornado that hit Monday, October 21st and advised citizens to plan out shelter areas in their own homes for the next tornado that will hit.
