El Diamante’s Advanced Drama class performed Ordinary People on the weekend of October 18th and 19th. Conrad Jarret, which was portrayed by Devin Prado, was a troubled young man who struggled with the death of his brother and his dysfunctional family. This play holds a lot of weight as it discusses suicide, death, and loneliness among teenagers. Advanced Drama held a spectacular production of this heavy play here at the El Diamante Theater. The director, Aaron Toon, was emotional following the final show as he had performed in the same play during his years in high school. This production became significant for the entire cast and crew, and furthermore, its success warmed all of their hearts.
