As everyone knows, this week is our city’s biggest high school sports week. For El D and Golden West we have Battle For The Saddle, and for Redwood and Mt Whitney, they have their Cowhide. Each of these events is Visalia’s high school traditions that started with the rivalry between two schools. This week is El Diamante’s biggest varsity football game as they face off against our fiercest rival Golden West High School. Our school spirit plays a huge role in motivating our boys so please remember to dress up and be included in spirit dress-up days this week. The theme for Monday is “On the Range” which means you should dress up as a cowboy, cowgirl, or farm animals. The theme for Tuesday is “Old Town Road” which means you should dress up as an old person or elderly figure. The theme for Wednesday is “Yee to my Haw” which means you should dress up with your friend as a dynamic duo or famous pair. The theme for Thursday is “Spooky Stories Around the Campfire” which means you should dress up in an appropriate Halloween costume. The theme for Friday is “Diamond in the Rough” which means you should dress in lots of green and show school spirit. Besides our dress-up days, ASB will be doing lunchtime activities throughout the week for a chance to win prizes. Overall this week will be fun and full of Miner pride. Go, Miners!
