Gun control is a very controversial topic and in these past years, it has been in the spotlight of the media. According to the BBC, 73% of homicides in America were gun-related killings. With this and the numerous mass shootings that seem to happen very often now, it is clear that this issue of gun control needs to be looked at. There are two sides to this issue, one being that gun control is unconstitutional and the other being that gun control is the best thing for this country right now. Everything that is with gun control is being held back by the people who aren’t for it. Making it easier or leaving it as it is to purchase guns does more harm to the public rather than ensuring its safety.
