Starbucks is a large coffee chain originating in Seattle since the 1970s. It is very common all across the nation, 14,300 stores to be exact. There are more Starbucks stores than there are McDonald’s in the U.S. Most of us have gone to one, or are regular customers at one of their stores. Being a very convenient place to fulfill your coffee fix, there is no question why this coffee shop is so successful.
Moving towards the holidays, the expectations for consumer sales is a 4% increase for the December quarter. The warm seasonal drinks and festive cup designs are destined to attract more sales in the cold months. According to Nivedita Balu in Business News, the top Starbucks sales in the last three months of the year reached a record of $4.6 billion. The average price for a featured drink is about $4.65. That is 1 billion more cups of coffee being sold. Nonetheless, you can catch me at the local Starbucks this winter!
