Lately, there were rumors about CM Punk going back to WWE, and those rumors were finally answered when he appeared on the first episode of WWE Backstage. While there later this week he got interviewed by Renee Young about how it came for him with his new gig on WWE Backstage. He says “strictly a me and FOX thing” so he won’t return to WWE, but hopes this is a way back into the business again. Then CM Punk appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd to explain his new role on WWE’s backstage. With him saying “So I guess I’m in conjunction (with WWE), I’m WWE adjacent”. Also stating he won’t hold back on his criticism of WWE on the backstage show. But although he came back and appeared on WWE backstage he was still firm with unlikely making an in-ring return, stating “I haven’t talked to anybody in WWE. It’s nothing that I’m actively pursuing or interested in”. So now it seems he may not go back into wrestling but just try and work somehow with the business.
