HIgh School Musical. 2. One of the most iconic movies in Disney Channel history. Gabriella’s sincere attitude and Sharpay’s overall flamboyance are hard to live up to.
But El Diamante’s theatre group on Friday sure did the job.
The LJ Williams theatre was packed to maximum capacity on Friday night; students and parents alike eager to enjoy the show. The curtains opened and the audience was immediately thrown into the high school problems of the infamous wildcats. (Which included finding a summer job)
Throughout the show, the audience was never left bored or wondering what could have been done better. Numerous jokes were thrown and multiple fun dancing and singing sequences were performed. The main characters, Troy and Gabriella, stole the show with their on-screen chemistry that completely matched the 2007 original. Sharpay lit up the stage with her bright personality and snarky remarks, alongside her on-screen brother Ryan (who himself gave an immaculate performance.) Along with the actors, a just as important part of theatre staff gave their 100% Friday night; the Miner Signers. The ASL club signed flawlessly, allowing everybody to enjoy the show.
