The Visalia Fox Theatre is reaching its 90th birthday on February 28. This historic theatre was created around the end of the silent film era and opened with a “talkie” western movie, among other films. The Fox even persevered through a temporary closing when the Sequoia Mall opened a shiny new theatre. To celebrate this piece of artistic history, the theatre is holding an event with music, cars, and candy. The main event boasts a performance from the Postmodern Jukebox group, who recreate modern music in a vintage genre. Although the tickets may be a bit expensive at $50 to $90, this is a party that you won’t want to miss.
