The Coronavirus is still increasing at an alarming rate in China with 15,152 new cases and 254 additional deaths. The Hubei province is starting to report clinical diagnosis and that 13,332 of the new cases that fall under that classification. The virus is officially known as COVID-19. There are at least 570 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in more than 25 countries and territories outside mainland China. A person under federal quarantine in Texas is the 15th case of the virus in the US. The patient arrived in the US on Feb 7 on a State Department flight from Wuhan, the center of the outbreak of the virus in China. “The individual is currently isolated and receiving medical care at a designated hospital nearby,” CDC said in a statement. The individual remains quarantined at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. The CDC recommends avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Stay home when you are sick, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects, and avoid close contact with people who are sick.
