Today Robert Gomez Bolanos or more commonly known as “Chespirito” is turning 91 today, and we’re remembering the impact he had on the entertainment business. During the time he was alive he was a comedian, entertainer, writer, composer, television director, and producer. Some of his best-known roles are Chespirito, El Chavo del Ocho, and El Chapulin Colorado. Once he had a growing reputation they nicknamed him “Chespirito” which in English is “Little Shakespeare”. He decided to embrace it and made a self comedy sketch in 1970. He made hundreds of episodes of television shows for nearly more than 40 years, with also writing movies and plays. Even though he died in 2014 at the age of 85 his television series’ are still shown today. Today he is still one of the biggest Mexican entertainers.
