Imagine a boot camp or even a Bible study camp. But here is the horrible thing. Imagine a concentration camp. A place in Germany where 6 million Jews were killed, taken from their homes and separated from families. Against a wall and shot to death. A gas chamber you had to be in with no clothes on. And then after put into an oven to burn flesh and bones to ash. This was all happening back then because people were prejudiced and hateful. Things have changed ever since but that doesn’t mean that things changed back then. Once men were taken to their camps they were told to not cry or they would die. And it was true, if a man were to show his emotions and shed a tear then he would die. Many even lied about their age to avoid death. Boys at around the age of 15 lied about their age to survive, even if it was for a short temporary moment. Jews were not known as actual human beings. They were known as numbers that were tattooed on their arm. There were two lines. Each family was split up between women, kids, and men. After the walk through the two lines, each family never saw their siblings and parents again. Families were told to pack one bag of clothing for the entire family, even though they would never see their belongings again. Children were not even able to grow up. Hitler and his “men” killed innocent people. Screams and crying of little kids were only innocent and too young to know what was really going on. This all happened because of mean and hateful people. There are only a few survivors and soon there won’t be any. By showing people what the worse can look like can help them by knowing that people can make a change.
