On Saturday, March 7, 2020, El Diamante’s Winterguard placed first in our class. We performed at Sierra Pacific High School in Hanford. After showing up at 12:30 pm with a full show prepared, our uniforms on, makeup on point, and some optimistic attitudes, we warmed up for 2 and a half hours right beside La Joya Middle School (we call them our baby guard). We performed around 2:40 pm, and it was our best show of the season. The audience could feel the emotion from our show, which is appropriately titled “Knowing when it’s time”. We perform to the song “Say something(I’m giving up on you)” originally by A Great Big World, but for our show, it’s a remix of multiple different artists. We have two performances left; March 20 at the winter showcase at Golden West High school, and at Championships on March 28. Wish us luck Miners, and we hope to see you at our next show!
