Alex Jones Arrested on DWI Charges

Yesterday, Travis County Sheriff’s Office reported that conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was arrested and charged on account of being intoxicated while driving. This happened in Texas early Tuesday morning; he was booked in at exactly 12:37 am, only to be released a few hours later with a $3,000 recognizance bond.

Monday at 10:10 pm, Alex Jones’ wife had called police to report a disturbance from him, since they had gotten into an argument. When they arrived, police noticed the faint scent of alcohol, and when putting Jones himself to the test, it was clear he was under the influence and had been recently driving, doing 45mph in a 40mph zone.

Alex Jones, as stated before, has since been released from his stay in jail before the sun rose Tuesday morning. On his Infowars show yesterday, he made lots of claims about the experience, such as accusing Travis County Police of arresting him only because of the lack of DWI arrests around the area recently. But his claims are all bark and no bite; it still happened for logical reasons, and he owes lots of money, including the $100,000 fine to the parents of a 6-year-old killed in the Sandy Hook shooting–a shooting in which he claims, with conspiracy theories, to be fake.
