The Lisa Project

All sophomore classes this week during their history class period were taken to the theater to experience an audio-based project. The Lisa Project was made to put students into the lives of children experiencing neglect and/or abuse at home. The project consists of different rooms and different types of abuse a child may experience. Types of abuse ranging from neglect, physical abuse, emotional abuse, or sexual abuse. At the end of the projects, after listening to the real stories told by real children, students were able to write notes about their experience or just write a note for someone who may need to hear it. The world of child abuse is being made more and more aware thankfully, as it is something we all should be educated on.
