By FRANK ESPINO

Staff Writer

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was one of the few women appointed as Supreme Justice. RBG successfully fought against gender discrimination and fought for better treatment for women. She served 27 years at the highest court becoming an icon for women and younger generations. Bader Ginsburg was battling with pancreatic cancer and unfortunately passed away on September 18, 2020. She spent her last weeks surrounded by family. RBG is the first woman to lie in state at the US capitol. This is a tribute reserved for the most distinguished government officials and military officers. Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be honorably respected and remembered.
