In November, Californians will vote on proposition 18. A “yes” on Prop 18 proposes that 17-year-olds may vote in primaries and special elections alike. The reason why this is the most important proposition on the ballot this November is because it can influence the rest of the elections and politics to come. 17-year-olds getting out to the California polls in the future may be insightful and encouraging for California. A fresh, young perspective on laws and legislation will give them knowledge when they come of age to vote in presidential elections.
