On October 2nd 2020 at 2:38 AM EDT, we as a nation received some shocking news. The President, Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were both tested positive for Coronavirus. The President tweeted that same night “Tonight @FLOTUS (Melania) and I tested positive for COVID-19.” He continues to say, “We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” (Twitter: @realDonaldTrump). The news spread like wildfire and everybody was talking about it and having many questions. What will happen during the election? Will he no longer be able to be part of the election? And many more concerns. Joe Biden also did not have a negative reaction to this news, but sent him best wishes on the same night by saying, “We will continue to pray for the health and safety of the president and his family” (Los Angeles Times Melanie Mason). Who knows what will happen next for sure, but all we have to say is “Good luck Trump.”
