The Central Valley Meat Company is known as a terrible place to work. There are many reviews about the lack of caution they are taking with Covid and that they don’t require workers to wear masks or stay home when sick. They are known for their animal cruelty and safety code violations. Not only have they had two beef recalls, but they have been shut down by OSHA three times. There was an outbreak of Covid there, yet people came into work without masks and without being tested.
There is a review online that states supervisors are selling drugs to their employees and some of them are working 11-12 hours a day for 6-7 days a week. The employees get 20 minute lunches and 5 minute breaks, plus people are working while under the influence of alcohol and narcotics. A man was ground up by the machinery there, further showing that it is a very unsafe place to work. Yet after all the evidence that this place is hazardous, it remains open and people remain working there.
