Mr. Brodie Lee

On December 26th of last year, Amanda Huber announced via instagram that her husband, Jon Huber had passed away. Jon was an amazing father and friend. Among those things, he was a performer that was known to the wrestling world as Luke Harper in WWE. Outside of the WWE and in his last place of work, he was known as “The Exalted One” Mr. Brodie Lee. After leaving the WWE, he would take his talents elsewhere in All Elite Wrestling. There he would become the TNT champion. After he lost the championship in a dog collar match to Cody Rhodes, he took a hiatus from wrestling for unknown reasons. The wrestling fans were awaiting his return desperately, waiting to see what was next for the leader of the Dark Order. But, he had passed away. Since then, almost every wrestler in the industry came forward with some form of story of how great Lee was. The made up war of companies was put aside so the world of wrestling could come together to deal with this huge loss. AEW would put on a beautiful tribute show for him that brought tears to everyone’s eyes. His son, Brodie Lee Jr, or -1, put together the main event. The TNT championship that his father held was retired and given to Brodie Jr. , crowning him the TNT champion for life. On top of that, when Brodie Jr. turns 18, he will have a contract at AEW. The outpour of support from everyone in the industry has been so great to see. This loss was really big; Lee was just getting started in AEW with his new character. He had unlimited potential that he unfortunately would never be able to see play out. However, more importantly, he left behind a legacy as a father that all fathers should strive to achieve. His family came before everything else. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten for his work in and outside the ring. He will be missed.
