On January 20, 2021 Joseph R. Biden was sworn in as President of the United States of America. President Biden, Barack Obama, and Doug Emhouff all attended the big day dressed in suits; however the ladies all had a different fashion choice. They all dressed in monochrome. Michelle Obama, JIll Biden, and Kamala Harris all donned monochrome outfits on the day of inauguration. Former First Lady Obama in a deep shade of burgundy. First Lady Biden in a teal blue. Vice President Harris in purple – allegedly to represent President Biden’s goal of a partnership between the Democrats and Republicans during his time as President. Whatever the reasoning was, to the bystander it looked elegant, tasteful, and well executed.
