VUSD has shut down classrooms for two schools on Thursday. People who have gone to the school have reportedly been tested positive at Hurley Elementary School, and Global Learning Charter School. Communications coordinator Kim Batty said “We had one class closure at Hurley with approximately 26 students”. The distraction has quarantined everyone involved in the situation, as contacting tracing will come in. Students and Staff will be quarantined for the next 14 days.  As one staff member has said “We have no exposures from any VUSD school sites”. VUSD has one day to notify parents and staff about the situation due to the new laws being in. To those who were close to the students and staff were notified. VUSD brought back students up to second grade last month. Both schools will reopen for now on. More information will be brought soon.
