Why do people decide to drop out of school? Do they think about their futures? Do they ever think about the consequences? There are plenty of consequences for high school dropouts. You don’t just wake up one day a billionaire. You have to work for your achievements. Many students don’t want to do school anymore, so they simply just don’t go. Doing this can lead to your parents getting in big trouble, you living on the streets in the future, you being 45 and still living under your parents roof, and no education or job. There are many more but these are very big ones. Remember when you were in elementary school getting asked what you want to be when you grow up and you always had an answer? You once had a dream about what you wanted to do. Now, there are seniors in their last year of highschool that are tired of the work and the pressure of getting up every morning. This simply will never end. Students get tired of doing school work, but even if you finish your high school years you will still have similar situations. You will either run off to college or get a nice job somewhere. All of these are equivalent to waking up on time, doing work, staying after, losing time, and so much more. This is the same as highschool. All of these dropouts are doing nothing good for themselves. Most jobs in California need proof of a diploma, and some jobs need proof of degrees from college. Where are the dropouts going to get these? Their futures are ahead of them and they need to be focusing on their future selves. I am tired of seeing teenagers dropping out. All I can see in their futures are being homeless or working at a gas station for the rest of their lives. I don’t want to see that for them. Before anyone drops out, please think about the future ahead of you and what you really want for yourself.
