Lloyd Austin, the Secretary of Defense, has just sent over 1,000 troops to help administer COVID-19 vaccinations. They will begin on February 15 and have goals of giving thousands of vaccines a day. 57 million vaccines have been distributed across the country with only 35 million administered. The extra help will speed up the process of getting everyone who wants a vaccine vaccinated. 200 million more doses are expected to be delivered by May. Overall, the military’s help is critical to keep up with the demand for vaccines and will greatly speed up the process.
