I am a huge fan of music of all kinds and genres. During quarantine, I’ve spent most of my time searching for new music to listen to, and out of the hundreds of artists, I’ve found Cocteau Twins. They have really taken the cake for one of my favorite artists I’ve listened to.
Cocteau Twins was a Scottish band from the late 1970’s to the early 2000’s, known for their magical and out of this world dream pop/shoegaze discography. Their most popular album and song Heaven or Las Vegas, is definitely one of their best albums. One of my favorites,
Elizabeth Fraser, the band’s lead vocalist, has probably one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard and an impressive control over voices. She uses her voice in ways I’ve never heard in shoegaze bands before. Fraser has also recorded music for the very well known movie Lord of the Rings.
