Congress is negotiating a stimulus package for Americans that would include a third stimulus check. President Biden is pushing for a $1,400 stimulus for the people who got $600 but Republicans are pushing for $1,000 stimulus checks. Although this is getting negotiated about there is a hold and it will take weeks till the next checks get sent out. The checks are getting delayed due to the second impeachment trial of former President Trump and the Treasury is still trying to give out checks from the first round of stimulus checks.
