Scary Online Stalker Kicked Off of Twitter

When an individual signs up for a career where they are in the public eye, they are sure to garner some form of fan base. Now while most of them are happy with their fans and love them, some fans take it way too far. An online Twitter user, who shall remain anonymous, posted some creepy messages directed towards World Wrestling Entertainment star Alexa Bliss. Alexa had just recently gotten engaged to Ryan Cabrera, a musical artist. This Twitter user claimed he had kidnapped her, raped her, and that Alexa was in danger. When facing backlash for his outlandish comments, he claimed that others were “haters” and were “jealous” of his and Alexa’s nonexistent relationship. Things got really scary when he posted a message stating how Alexa’s house looked real nice from the outside. In the past, WWE superstars have been stalked. The most recent case being Sonya Deville’s case. In that situation, a stalker sent her flowers and confessed his love for her, despite her homosexuality and being happily in a relationship. This man broke into her house with a weapon and zip ties. This is the last thing anyone wants a fan to do. At this point they are not fans, they are criminals and threats to the superstar’s well being. The account targeting Alexa Bliss made a mockery out of Deville’s case, disgusting any followers he had. However, as of this morning, February 12th, his account has been suspended. Obsessive Twitter users like this cannot be taken lightly. We have seen numerous cases where these “fan” accounts have taken it too far. At least one account is suspended, but there must be further action to prevent these kinds of people from continuing to abuse online platforms.
