On January 30 2021, police officers got a call requesting a welfare check on a property in California. The welfare check was requested by a woman who was concerned about something she had seen on an Instagram live. The woman reported that the man she was watching was armed, had weapons, and was inside his apartment. And she also said that in the background were two female bodies lying on the floor not moving. When the police arrived they found that the man had barricaded himself inside the home refusing to let the officers in. So with the refusal and the information about two potentially severely harmed women, the police officers called in the SWAT team and the critical incident negotiation team. The teams tried to negotiate with the man, but there were no results. Police evacuated the other apartments in the building and used ‘distraction devices and chemical agents to force the suspect to surrender’. But those efforts were also unsuccessful.

At 8:32 am, the police officers were able to enter the apartments and found the suspect hiding inside. The suspect was now in police custody, but of course he didn’t go down without a fight. This resulted in an officer having to use a taser to subdue him. The officers unfortunately found two deceased women in the apartment. Their cause of death is still under investigation and their names are being withheld. The suspect is a 29 year old man named Raymond Weber from Sacramento. Raymond has a brother who is a local rapper and goes by the name “Ozzy Marcus”. Raymond claims that it was his brother who held the two women hostage, was armed, and everything that was on Instagram live. He also claims that his brother and now the two dead women were trying to set him up for a crime. Raymond is now being held in a county jail without bail and had multiple outstanding warrants for various felonies including domestic battery and assaults with a deadly weapon.

Raymond’s brother Marcus was being held in the same county jail for several charges. These charges including; endangering the life or health of a child, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Raymond has been charged with two counts of murder.
