On Saturday February 20th the El Diamante High School cross country team has their first invitational of the season. The invitational had over 220 runners and 16 schools. It was held on both Friday and Saturday with only 2 teams to race every hour because of no larger gatherings. The coach of Golden West, Larry Lung made the course accessible to the public so they could see the runners. In the open category El Diamante placed 1st for boys and girls. Their next race will be at ELD against Redwood at 3 on Wednesday.
