On March 10th, Build-A-Bear Workshop announced via Twitter their first, and highly anticipated, collaboration with Nintendo’s Animal Crossing franchise! The collection of these plushies is named “Animal Crossing New Horizons” and is coming soon. There has been no official date for when the teddies will drop, but those interested can sign up for updates with their phone number or email address.
We can assume that this series will most likely come with the most recognizable characters, Isabelle, Tom Nook, Timmy & Tommy, and KK Slider. The latest game in the series has over 350 individual characters, so fans are hoping the Build-A-Bear options aren’t super limited! Many of the replies to the company’s Twitter post were begging for a doll of the beloved cub, Stitches, a living colorful plush teddy bear with stitches for eyes. It would be a miss for Build-A-Bear to not sell him in their stores. I’m personally hoping my favorite cat villagers, Punchy, Stinky, and Rudy, are options as well.
