Gun Control Bills Approved by House

Two new bills were passed by the house on gun control. Some changes include now needing a background check required for gun sales between private parties. The amount of time an unlicensed firearm buyer must wait before receiving a firearm from a dealer increased from three days to ten days. An enhanced background check would also be implemented to combat a loophole which has been used maliciously. Gun control is one of President Biden’s top priorities hoping to end the violence. The bills still have to go through the Senate where they could end up not being approved.
