Blue eyes that shine like opals.
Diamonds in a sea of coals.
Warm light shines from those blue eyes
Bright enough to light up my own sight.
Determined, I stand in the light
Wishing for nothing more than to swim in the pools of those eyes.
Beautiful; Enchanting;
Daunting, nonetheless.
What a wonderful feeling
Being this blessed.
Daring to try and breathe hath failed me.
With my heart on my sleeve,
Bracing for rejection, slowly stepping forward,
“Darling…” I have her attention,
“What can I do to be able to swim in that pretty blue?”
“Be you” she responded so effortlessly.
Diamonds, indeed.
