Two females were killed Monday morning in what police described as a double-homicide in Largo, Florida.
A 19-year-old man known as Sage Gayle Curry followed two women home and got in through a bedroom window while they were sleeping, and proceeded to stab the two women. Curry left the house injured, and went for help from a neighbor who then called 911, police said. Curry was arrested shortly after police were alerted of the murders and is now being held at the Pinellas County Jail.
Police say there is no known relationship between Curry and the victims at this time. Detectives continue to investigate.The attack is believed to be a random attack and not targeted. Curry told officers he entered the home through a window and attacked the two women “with the sharpest kitchen knife he could find”.
A nearby neighbor said “When we heard, recently, it was someone that followed them home, that’s very scary.” This crime is putting the community on edge, people will now be scared in their own homes and not be sure if they are safe.
