On Thursday May 6th, a six grade girl brought a gun to her middle school (Rigby Middle School) wounding two students and a custodian shortly before being disarmed by a teacher. The three victims of the shooting are expected to survive as they were all shot in their limbs and were not fatally shot. A female teacher disarmed the young shooter and held her down until authority arrived to help on the scene. Police are still investigating the young girl’s motives for the shooting and how she possessed the gun in the first place. The shooting took place around 9 o’ clock in the morning as students heard three loud noises, one after the other, and screaming shortly after. The victims of the incident will very likely survive and criminal charges will not be made until the full completion of the investigation.
