What’s The Most On Your Mind

I believe expressing how you feel is an important part of maintaining your mental health. Letting your voice be heard to people that you live with is an important way to communicate with others and discuss issues when something comes up that bothers you. I have a hard time telling people how I feel, but I have come to realize that building up emotions on the inside and not letting your feelings be heard is even more of an uncomfortable feeling. When a person expresses themselves they are allowing other individuals to take a step in their shoes and understand how they are feeling. It is important to be open with your friends and family when something is bothering you because keeping it to yourself can do more damage than reaching out for help. Expressing your emotions can be a difficult thing, however, it is important that a person surrounds themselves with people who will be interested in wanting to hear how they feel. The people we choose to spend our time with must be chosen carefully to make sure that our feelings are always being listened to and never belittled. Surrounding yourself with people who are willing to communicate and listen to what you have to say will lead your life to a more positive and happy lifestyle.
