Self image- Mental and Physical Health

“How can I change my body? What will make me look like them? What will it take?” Is what 13 year-old me was asking? From a young age I felt the pressure of society and it turned me into a gym freak. I learned that the body you are given can be changed and morphed into whatever you want; you just put in a little effort. I have also discovered that self-thought reflects in self-image. How you feel about yourself on the inside does reflect on the outside. You could have the most bangin body, yet still feel disgusting about yourself when you look in the mirror.

I used to cry at night because I hated who I was and now I wouldn’t wanna be anyone else. I fell in love with the process of self-reflection. Knowing that I can do whatever I set out to do and be whoever I was to be is so empowering. Through self-reflection I found myself in positions where I really questioned my character. Is that really who I am? Is this really who I want to become? Honestly my answer for all those questions was NO.

So what did I do? I reflected on the incident and took out the lesson I learned and I applied it to my everyday life because EVERY DAY COUNTS! Then I let the situation go. Learning and letting go is one of the strongest ways to boost self-confidence. It really makes it hard to run away from the problems. One must own up to their actions and charge forward without regret.
